sounds like either the wiring has burnt out or the switch has died causing a short

it could be the switch either needs cleaning or replacing, but check the wiring as well as i dont see why the switch would cause the relays to go bang.

Thats caused by a bad contact somewhere, most probably the switch or a bad earth to the relay. you just have to be methodical and anal in checking and cleaning all the contacts.

i know it sounds completely off topic but beleive me it isnt.
do you have an aftermarket sterio fitted?

and tom, if your going to do the same as what you did to your car may i suggest you put a small amoount more effort in and do the job so that the battery doesnt need disconecting every time you lock the car up.

SO AFTER YOU REPAIRED THE FAULT..... WHY DID YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT THE BATTERY EVERY TIME YOU USED THE CAR?

Dyslexia doesn't mean you abbreviate everything, or stop you from using a spell checker.

And you spelt dyslexia ok for someone who has dyslexia. Shocked
