new car prospects?

as i was talking to paul last night about posibilities of the golf becoming turbo'd or a new rear wheel drive car, he suggested i look at a 3 series.

the idea is to get the wife past her test and let her run around in the golf! then i can have something top play with.

the car was a E36 Bmw, the 1.8L turbo diesel.
having a look at insurance it is the same as the golf next year and they are floating around the 1 grand mark:)

i am doing more and more reading into them and yet again paul you have come up trumps! cheers mate.

is there any thing else people would consider as a new car?

get the 2.5tdi its a much much better car.

as for the future transport situation there is one more big itch that needs scratching, i've done the turbo nutter bastard route, so next up is v8 waftness, all be it 400 bhp supercharged rwd waftness. yup the next car will have to be a Black v8 jag XJR

was looking round a civic type r earlier today.
i think that chances are it will be either 4 or RWD and ford or jap, possible BMW.

the trouble with throttle bodies is they only work properly if they are bolted to something thats been designed to use them. they give no advantage on a stock ish engine.

The type "r"'s are nice motors, but they need to be thrashed all the time to make them go, which is a bit tiring to say the least. altough, and accord type 'r' would do you nicely as its a 2.2 vtec so has some torque, and no fecker knows what they are so you don't get every twat on a baseball cap and saxo/clio etc trying to race you because they think their 15 quid halford gearknob has given them more power

although the accord is a good car i am not the biggest fan of its looks.

thats an xjs, probably a 3.6 looking at those wheels the only engine to have in those is the 5.3 v12

I know what you mean about the accords looks, they are a tad plain, but the type 'r's do look 10x better
